Considered by many as new Zealand's benchmark Pinot Noir, Felton Road are renowned throughout the world for unblemished quality. Their philosophy is driven by sustainability and the wines are produced by way of biodynamic viticultural practices in harmony with their land, the stars and the moon. The winery is three-tier gravity fed to accommodate a 'hands off' approach throughout these crucial stages of production. Minimal human intervention during the winemaking process allows the fruit to better express itself through the unique characteristics of its origins. This extremely rare Single Block 5 Pinot Noir is the powerhouse of the Felton Road range.
Aromatically very expressive, complete and alluring: florals, black cherry, spice and undergrowth are all present. The palate is so harmonised and integrated that it’s difficult to discern individual characters – a hallmark of a real classic. Finely woven tannins build and coat the mouth for a masterclass in texture. Vibrant fruit and acidity allow the finish to crescendo and take an eternity to gracefully fade.

On Sunday 17 March 2019 Drinks International hosted the first awards ceremony for The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands at Prowein, Dussledorf where representatives from the 50 selected brands were invited to attend. The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands is considered a leading authority on the most influential and trending wine producers from around the world. Felton Road was listed at number 12.
