Now you can peruse our select range of premium New Zealand wines via our brand new, user friendly website. Be sure to act fast, as these wines are in modest supply.

Secure your order now, and we'll endeavour to have your wine delivered to your cellar within the festive period. Licensee, Mick Druett (pictured) has been compiling our collection for a number of years. He knows the people who created theses wines and actually had a hand in producing some of them himself! Needless to say, our entire cellar was sourced directly from those people. That's Mick's promise to you..

No private sales. No auctions. No middle men. No exceptions!

Summer up-date. Exciting News!

Our very own Coxs' Vineyard fruit delivers the best Pinot Noir in the world!! Coxs' Vineyard's Pinot Noir fruit has recently been honoured at the prestigious International Wine and Sprits Competition in London.  Formerly a contract vineyard, Coxs' Pinot Noir grapes have been sold to an A-list clientele over the years, including Burn Cottage, Peregrine, Akarua, Maude, Invivo and Takapoto Estate.

We're thrilled to report that the latter, (Takapoto Single Vineyard Gibbston Pinot Noir 2014) was awarded Best Pinot Noir at the worlds most distinguished wine competition and yes, the fruit was sourced 100% from our very own Coxs' Vineyard!!

What we’re most excited about however, is that Coxs' Vineyard now produces a Single Vineyard Pinot Noir of its own. The 2016 Coxs' Vineyard Gibbston Pinot Noir is the first vintage ever, and exclusively available here at Onsite Wine. This inaugural Pinot Noir features amazing aromatics of raspberries, violets, Turkish delight and smokey French oak. The palate is alive with fresh acidity working with powdery tannins amongst a fusion of forrest berries, mushrooms and lavender.

(Left) Mick proudly cradles a bottle of the first vintage ever made under the Coxs' Vineyard label. This accolade validates his decision to showcase this Pinot Noir in our inventory, alongside some of the very best producers in New Zealand. Remember, available exclusively at www.onsitewine.co.nz

Valli's Jen Parr, 2018 New Zealand Winemaker of the Year!!

Valli have yet another accolade to add to their list of incredible achievements! Jen Parr, co-winemaker at Valli since 2015, accepted the award as part of the NZ Aromatic Wine Competition in Christchurch in November.

Jen entered the Valli Gibbston Pinot Noir 2016, Valli "The Real McCoy" Orange Wine Pinot Gris 2017, and the Valli Waitaki Riesling 2018.

True to form, Jen modestly commented.. ''Winemaking is a team endeavour, from the people who carefully tend our vines to the small team who meticulously care for the wines and the people who ensure our wines give a rewarding experience to our customers. We are inspired by owner, Grant Taylor, who delivers us impeccable grapes even in the most challenging vintages and empowers us to craft great wines that sing of their origins.'' Congratulations Jen and the entire Valli Team!

Destiny Bay's Magna Praemia 2013 shines among the world's elite!

Reminiscent of the famous 'Judgement of Paris' 40 years ago when Californian wines conquered the great French Chateau's, Destiny Bay's Magna Praemia 2013 (the only New Zealand wine invited to this prestigious tasting) excelled against the world's 20 best Cabernet based blends. The exclusive Cape Mentelle blind tasting is annual event hosted in Western Australia's Margaret River since 1982.

Heading the panel of judges was Managing Editor of Robert Parker's Jr's Wine Advocate, Joe Czerwinski. Joe rated Destiny Bay's Magna Praemia number one in its flight which featured seven iconic Cabernet based wines from 2013. These were his notes:

Notes: Toasty, cedary oak. Dark fruit. Plush and velvety, with chocolate and plum on the long finish. Wine ranked 1/7

Reveal: Destiny Bay 2013 Magna Praemia (Waiheke Island, New Zealand)
Specs: 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec | 14.5% abv
